Itinerary : Antananarivo – Andasibe – Toamasina – Ste Marie – Antananarivo
Meet lemurs and humpback whales on a 10-day trip with our Madagascar tour packages. Start your trip in the east of the island and discover the lemurs. Enjoy a nocturnal boat excursion where you’ll have the chance to meet nocturnal lemurs. Arriving at Ankanin ny nofy, visit the Palmarium and meet the world’s largest lemur before heading away from the east coast to discover the humpback whales at Sainte Marie. You’ll have the chance to see the whales in action, as well as their migration during calving.
Day1
Antananarivo
Arrival at Ivato the international airport of Antananarivo , Madagascar’s capital . Meet by our representative and transfer to hotel. Overnight in hotel.
Day 2
Antananarivo-Andasibe
En route to the East of Madagascar to Périnet or Andasibe . Stop at Marozevo to visit the Madagascar exotic reptile farm. Afternoon visit of the Vakona private reserve , its lemur island:where one can have a closer encounter with few varieties of lemurs… Overnight in hotel.
Day 3
Andasibe-Akanin’ny Nofy
Morning drive to Manambato . Boat transfer to the “nest of dream” ( 45mn) Beautiful lake Nocturnal boat trip to see the nocturnal lemur aye aye. Overnight at Palmarium hotel.
Day 4
Akanin’ny Nofy
visit of the Palmarium reserve: its fauna and flora, five different kinds of lemurs and the biggest living lemur Indri Indri . Overnight at Hotel le Palmarium.
Day 5
Akanin’ny Nofy-Toamasina ( 3 hours local boat trip)
Morning board the local motorboat and follow the Pangalanes channel to Toamasina through beautiful landscape, discover way of life and culture of Malagasy people . At the port, meet by our driver, transfer to hotel.
Day 6
Toamasina-Ste Marie
Morning transfer ( 4hrs) to Mahambo the port of embarkation to Ste Marie. Then 3 hrs boat trip to Ste Marie , experiencing the most beautiful scenery of Indian Ocean, you have chance to enjoy the natural spectacle offered by the humback whales who come to the warmer sea of the Indian Ocean to mate and give birth during this season. Overnight in hotel.
Day 7
Ste Marie
Whale safari to be more closed to the leaps and parades of the whales Overnight in hotel.
Day 8
Ste Marie
Guided excursion to Ile aux Nattes by local pirogue. Overnight in hotel.
Day 9
Ste Marie
Day at leisure. The island of Ste Marie also known as Nosy Boraha is a tropical paradise you will mesmerized by its wild beauty. To discover the island you can have many choices of transportation: bicycle, scooter, tuc tuc, 4L, pirogue, cab … or just relax under the shade of coconut trees.
Day 10
Ste Marie-Antananarivo
Flight back to Antananarivo. Overnight in hotel.
